The experience
behind the company.

Optical Illusions Productions is young as a company — founded in 2022 — but it runs on more than twenty years of hands-on work. Founder Jairo Vargas Jr. has built, wired, and staged some of the largest live events in the country, on crews that operate at stadium and festival scale.

The credits below are Jairo's personal crew experience — distinct from the events Optical Illusions produces as a company. It's the depth a 2022 company doesn't usually have.

  1. Nationally Televised Halftime Broadcast

    2026

    Staging crew for the halftime show production — built one of two large dual electrical-tower set pieces for the broadcast.

  2. Harry Potter Forbidden Forest

    2024

    Design Deco Lead — designed and built immersive installations, including a structure selected for worldwide replication.

  3. Enchant Christmas

    2022–24

    Electrician Lead for the world's largest light maze — led a four-person team wiring all power for the entire stadium installation.

  4. Lost Lands Music Festival

    2019–23

    Raptor Response Team — Excision's rapid-response production crew. Designed and built the festival's iconic dinosaur installations.
